Is an Internal Medicine Doctor Right for me?

Internal Medicine Doctors or Doctors for Adults®, specialize in providing medical care for adults. If you are 18 years or older, you may choose an internal medicine doctor to be your primary doctor.
An internal medicine physician gets to know you, your family history and your individual concerns. This is the doctor you see for common ailments that arise throughout the years and someone who will help you monitor your overall health and wellness.

Internal Medicine
Doctors of internal medicine (“internists”) are medical specialists who focus on adult medicine and have had special study and training focusing on the prevention and treatment of adult diseases. At least three of their seven or more years of medical school and postgraduate training are dedicated to learning how to prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases that affect adults.

Your doctor & partner in health
By choosing a partner in health, you make your health a priority. From wellness and preventive medicine to more serious health concerns or disease – an internal medicine physician is your partner in health throughout your adult life.
