Visible Spider veins bother both men and women. These clusters of red, purple or blue veins are common on the thighs, calves and ankles. Spider veins are visible on the skin's surface to you and others when your legs are exposed. Spider veins are an all too common cosmetic issue.

Caused by pressure in the venous system, spider veins can be associated with deeper varicose veins. It is also common for spider veins to cause symptoms, such as aching, heaviness, itching and night cramps.
