Rheumatology

At Fayetteville Diagnostic Clinic, Dr. Song Zang and Dr. Jonathan Kruger provide quality, compassionate rheumatology care to men and women in Northwest Arkansas.

Rheumatology is the study, diagnosis, and medical treatment of arthritis and other painful conditions known as rheumatic diseases.

Over one hundred different diseases may produce pain or arthritis. The field of rheumatology includes autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and scleroderma. Certain disorders of the muscle or bone are also included such as osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, and polymyositis.

Our rheumatology care team will work with you to diagnose and manage your disease with a focus on optimizing your quality of life.

Osteoporosis Center

Today, 25 million people have osteoporosis. Women are four times more likely than men to develop the disease. However, men can also suffer from osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a debilitating bone disease where weak bones may lead to bone fractures.

Osteoporosis can be prevented and treated. Without screening, though, patients often do not know they have osteoporosis until they break a bone.

MANA offers Bone Density testing at Fayetteville Diagnostic Clinic. We use DEXA bone densitometry, an advanced technology that is used to measure bone loss. This bone test is convenient and painless utilizing very low doses of radiation (approximately one-tenth of a chest x-ray). Our board-certified rheumatologists interpret the bone density images and provide a report on your bone health.
