Pulmonary Medicine Clinic

At Fayetteville Diagnostic Clinic Pulmonary Medicine, we want to help you breathe easier. Our team of seven board-certified pulmonologists and three nurse practitioners is committed to providing compassionate, quality pulmonary care to people in Northwest Arkansas.

Pulmonary Medicine is a medical specialty focusing on health and diseases of the respiratory tract and lungs.

Drs. Kyle Hardy, Gary Templeton, Michael Eckles, Edward Jackson, Allen Moseley, Lindsey Barnes, and Nathan Tobey completed residency training in internal medicine followed by three years of combined subspecialty fellowship training in pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine. They are board-certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Nurse practitioners Christie Hancock, Marlys Bitner, and Jamie Young have extensive knowledge and experience in pulmonary and sleep medicine. As nurse practitioners, they are qualified to treat pulmonary conditions, including prescribing medications and ordering tests. They collaborate with the pulmonologists to ensure our patients receive individualized, high-quality care.

Pulmonologists diagnose and treat asthma, Chronic Pulmonary Obstructive Disease (COPD), lung masses, complicated chest infections like pneumonia, interstitial lung disease, and emphysema.

Coordinated Care

Each week, Fayetteville Diagnostic Clinic Pulmonary Medicine physicians and providers voluntarily participate in an early morning Lung Conference with other medical specialists like oncologists and surgeons. The group of physicians and providers discuss new lung disease cases and the best treatment recommendations.  This type of discussion and teamwork helps coordinate the best quality care for patients in Northwest Arkansas.

Patients who take critical prescription medications are advised to maintain regular lab and office visits recommended by their doctor. Please ask your doctor to write refills for any medications you anticipate needing at your office visit.

Patients who have been seen by the doctor at appropriate intervals may call for refills on some prescriptions (antibiotics excluded). Requests received after 2:00 p.m. will be processed within the next two business days. Refills are done Monday through Friday.

Patients who use a mail-order pharmacy will need to notify their provider with the name of the pharmacy and request a 90-day supply when applicable. If the provider is unable to send in an electronic refill, the office will contact the patient.
