No one has more training in outpatient newborn care than a pediatrician. Our 19 board-certified pediatricians and pediatric nurse practitioner are experts in newborn care.
Access to our Newborn clinic
A pediatric hospitalist or neonatologist will care for your newborn in the hospital. We prefer to see your newborn 2-3 days after you leave the hospital. You should leave the hospital with an appointment but we welcome calls to schedule a newborn follow-up.
We see newborns at the Fayetteville Wellness Clinic and the Pinnacle Hills Wellness Clinic.
A healthy start in life is our desire. We will see your newborn at 3-5 days and at 2 weeks of age.
Newborn Services
- Circumcision
- Immunizations

Scheduling Your First Appointment
We feel that seeing your newborn soon after discharge is very important. When an appointment is available, we will gladly schedule your visit with the pediatrician of your choice. Newborn scheduling is a top priority and our schedulers will help you find an appointment time a few days after your newborn is discharged from the hospital.
Newborn Handbook
Download our newborn handbook, edited by our board-certified pediatricians, for a quick reference and guide to the most common questions about your newborn.
At Northwest Arkansas Pediatrics, a separate Wellness Clinic offers a safe environment for infants and well children. Sick children are seen in a separate Acute Care Clinic to keep viruses from spreading to your newborn and other well children.
