    Our radiologists are proud to welcome Dr. Shawn Marvin, a diagnostic radiologist, to MANA Imaging on June 1, 2016. He is Fellowship Trained in Musculoskeletal Imaging and board certified in Diagnostic Radiology. A musculoskeletal radiologist specializes in the diagnosis of muscle and joint problems. Their expertise is how the muscles, joints and ligaments work together. Doctors in this specialty use noninvasive medical imaging technology to view inside the body to study the joints, ligaments, and muscles.

    Dr. Marvin has served as the Director of Radiology at National Park Medical Center and was an executive member of Hot Springs Radiology. In medical school, he was in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and recognized as a Barton Scholar for his high GPA. During his Radiology residency at UAMS, he received Residency Professionalism Award and Excellence in Teaching Award. Before treating athletes, Dr. Marvin was named the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) Male Student Athlete of the Year in 2001 and was a 4-year Letterman on the UCA Soccer Team.

    When he is not working, Dr. Marvin enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, relaxing at the lake, traveling, and watching Razorback sports. He and his wife Jennifer, have four children, ages 10, 8, 5 and 3. Dr. Marvin coaches his 10 year old daughter’s volleyball team and 5 year old son’s tee ball team.
