Dr. William McGowan has been practicing Family Medicine in Springdale since 1987 and joined MANA Family Medicine in 2002. Over the past 30+ years, Dr. McGowan has enjoyed providing care to generations of families in Northwest Arkansas. Dr. McGowan plays an active role in his community, having served as Chief of Staff at Northwest Medical Center and Medical Director of The Richardson Homes and Decision Point, among many other roles. He is a member of the Springdale Kiwanis and the Springdale Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. McGowan maintains his board certification in Family Medicine. He completed his residency at AHEC-Fayetteville and medical school at UAMS in Little Rock. He is a graduate of Catholic High in Little Rock.
Dr. McGowan and his wife, Kelly Carithers, have two sons, Dr. Patrick McGowan and John T. McGowan. Dr. Patrick McGowan recently joined his father in practice, and John McGowan is pursuing a Master’s degree in Education and works as a substitute teacher in the Springdale School District. Dr. William McGowan’s hobbies include spending time with his family and grandsons, enjoying Beaver Lake, golfing, traveling, biking the trails and walking his dog, Lily.
