MANA Gives Back to NWA Metsquarade

Northwest Arkansas Metsquarade is the MANA Staff Giving Program’s organization for the month of January, sponsored by MANA Family Medicine Springdale. Thanks to our participants, MANA is able to donate a check for $2,300 to NWA Metsquarade. The organization will be receiving the check by mail.

NWA Metsquarade is a fundraiser for Metavivor, a non-profit organization run primarily by women with MBC (Metastatic Breast Cancer), which uses 100% of donations for metastatic breast cancer research. According to their website, NWA Metsquarade is the largest fundraiser for Metavivor in the country. Since 2016, the team has donated over $1.5 million for metastatic breast cancer research through fundraisers that include the annual gala, Runway IV Research, a national fundraiser called the Metaribbon Challenge and several other smaller fundraisers.

The idea behind the Metsquarade is to provide METavivor with additional money to help research MBC raise awareness to MBC, and to acknowledge the women and men living with metastatic breast cancer.
