For July, MANA staff elected 7hills Homeless Center as the recipient of the MANA Gives Donation. On July 13th, the staff at MANA Family Medicine in South Fayetteville presented a check for $2,300 to Haley Wood, the Development Director, at 7hills.
Haley said receiving this donation “was a nice surprise.” When asked how 7hills would use this donation, she said, “we will use this as part of our basic needs fund.” This fund helps provide people with access to meals, showers, laundry, clothing, and more. 7hills has been serving the Northwest Arkansas area for 21 years, providing basic needs and transitional and permanent supportive housing to people experiencing homelessness.
7hills is currently getting ready for their “7hills Camp Out” in October. They are looking for 25 companies to nominate someone to camp with their family or friends to raise awareness and funds for 7hills. In order to camp out at the Arvest Ball Park, campers must be able to raise a minimum of $4,000. The event will take place on October 28th and 29th. Campers will enjoy food, drinks, and a movie on the big screen on the 28th and will get to enjoy their concert series on the 29th.
