The doctors at Millennium Chiropractic and Sports Medicine are excited to welcome their first female chiropractor, Dr. Marissa Acevedo, to the team in October. Dr. Acevedo is a certified chiropractic doctor who is committed to providing quality, compassionate chiropractic care to people in Northwest Arkansas.
Dr. Acevedo is accepting new patients for sports and general chiropractic care. She will also be helping with the Fayetteville and Harbor/Springdale high school sports teams!
As a softball player and cheerleader, Acevedo became interested in physical therapy and chiropractic therapy. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Wellness Summa Cum Laude at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri. She went on to earn a Doctorate of Chiropractic at Cleveland University Kansas City in Overland Park, Kansas.
Having studied biomechanics, exercise physiology, and a range of chiropractic techniques, Dr. Acevedo worked with students ranging from the Special Beginnings Early Learning Center to The Arc of the Ozarks.
Dr. Acevedo and her husband, Bobby, like to get outside and explore Northwest Arkansas. Her hobbies include inline skating and hiking in the beautiful Ozark mountains.
