MANA physicians are proud to welcome Desiree Nelson, APRN, to the Pulmonary Medicine team at Fayetteville Diagnostic Clinic, A MANA Clinic.
Nurse Practitioner Nelson is not new to MANA. She has worked in health care in Fayetteville for 16 years. In her new position at MANA, Nurse Practitioner Nelson will work with the pulmonologists to provide compassionate, quality Pulmonary care. As an APRN, Nelson will provide patient education and timely care.
“I am excited to get to know patients,” said Nurse Practitioner Nelson. “I believe good communication is vital to help patients to meet their healthcare goals and improve their quality of life.”
Before starting her career in healthcare, Nelson served in the Arkansas Air National Guard as an Air Transportation Specialist, serving in Japan and Guam as well as in Mississippi and Utah. Originally from Miami, Florida, Nelson went to college at Harding University, in Searcy, Arkansas, and completed her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing at Graceland University.
A mother of four children, Nelson is caring and compassionate. She and her husband share the love of Star Wars, Marvel, and hiking in the Ozarks with their children. Nelson also enjoys reading mystery novels.
